EARTH & CREEK REMEDIATION

Colt & Steel excels at Earth and Creek Remediation, balancing the delicate process of cooperating with state and local organizations while also keeping in mind the importance of natural and environmental practices. We have supported and lead several projects concerning remediation, with the Jamestown Emergency Stream Restoration project being our most recent. This was a Federal NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service) and EWPP (Emergency Watershed Protection Program) funded project requiring intensive rehabilitation of approximately two miles of stream. We successfully completed stream and river realignment, dredging, channeling, grading, toe-wall, and riprap bank stabilization.  The project also encompassed road and culvert reconstruction, debris and sediment removal, and habitat revegetation.  The Jamestown project was critical and urgent and its results exemplify our efficient work and ability to deliver on time and on budget, even as mitigation and remediation efforts required multiple agency input, onerous engineering, and cooperation with many community stakeholders. We constructed over 100 drop structures and imported 7000 tons of granite to complete this project.

Our river and stream remediation expertise has provided us substantial praise for functional and aesthetically pleasing results. We have been recognized for our ability to create quality drop structures and re-create native fish habitats throughout Colorado.
